LBallet Propaedeutics Classes - 3.5/6 years of age

This course brings little boys and girls closer to the dance and the music world through a fun, creative, and expressive physical and rhythmic activity which develops physical and musical potentials.
In the course, children are helped to discover their body and the possibilities to it related through exercises and occasionally also with the use of objects studied according to their age, which contribute to the psychophysical development of the child. Children will benefit from these classes by developing space (surroundings) and body awareness, understanding their body capabilities and by improving their focus, musicality and sense of rhythm in relation to movement.

DRESS CODE:   White leotard, white ankle socks or pink tights, pink demi-point shoes. White or pink cross-cardigan (winter).
                           White T-shirt or long sleeved top,black tights or shorts, white socks and black demi-point shoes for the boys.
                           Hair in a bun or tight ponytail.
                           Please no skirts and no jewellery other than small earrings.

Classical Ballet I - 7/9 years of age

In this course, children are still within the learning process of their body potentials in relation to space and music. Given their older age in comparison to the Propaedeutic Course, children are challenged during class with more complex steps and combinations (first little choreographies) which they will be asked to perform helping so in strengthening the memory when having to remember names and the steps to them related. The musics used will also be more complex and dynamic while the space this time is used entirely as children will be moving with slightly more accuracy from one spot to the other. Kids will be learning the very basics of ballet such as position of feet and arms both at at the ballet barre for the first part of the class and to the centre of the room for the second part.

DRESS CODE:    Light blue leotard, pink tights, pink demi-point shoes. White, pink or light blue cross-cardigan (winter).
                             White T-shirt or long sleeved top,black tights or shorts, white socks and black demi-point shoes for boys.
                             Hair in a bun for girls.
                                                                                                  Please no skirts and no jewellery other than small earrings.
